Guitarist Cory Stone Releases New Instrumental Album

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 20, 2004 Waco, Texas-Although his musician father introduced him to theguitar years after he had been playing the saxophone and otherinstruments, Cory Stone realized that it was his instrument ofchoice. After the eye opening insight into who he really wastook place, Cory locked himself in his room and practiced dayand night endlessly. After graduating from the University of NewMexico with a degree in music, he joined renownedguitarist/composer Federico Jimenez Villafane to hone his skillson the six-string acoustic. After that apprenticeship, Stonemoved on to the Antoinette Cardenas Band where his skillsreached new levels of proficiency playing jazz, rock, blues,fusion, reggae, country and Latin.
Today Cory Stone is an accomplished guitarist with a new albumthat displays his diverse talents. Maybe is a focused andwide-ranging recording of instrumental compositions. Stone usesthe finger picking method with his acoustic guitar honoringmasters such as Doc Watson. His music is difficult to place inany one genre as he travels all over the musical map, coveringjazz, blues, rock, country and more in the 10 tracks Maybeoffers the perceptive listener.
